Our Females Our Litters Puppies for Sale Puppy Growth Chart BRT Rescue Information

As Black Russian Terrier Breeders we take special care in breeding our dogs since we want to make sure that old Russian bloodlines are retained. We choose our mating dogs very carefully as we do not want  to compromise the breed.

Breeding is a specific science and choosing the wrong bloodlines or mating with a dog that does not have the qualities could result in disaster.

When we do have Black Russian Terrier puppies for sale, announcements are usally made. Our puppies comes with registration papers, pre-health examination, vaccinations and a health guarantee. We do accept reservations, however potential buyers are screened to make sure that our puppies are correctly placed.

Yakut Mark Monarch x Kalinka's Katjusha Iz Teremka

We are happy to announce that our next planned litter have arrived on

29 of April, 2009.

There are 13 puppies! 12 girls and only boy. All puppies are doing great, they are helthy, active and have a good appitite. Mom is doing very well also, however she is very busy with her handsfull family.

The proud father of this puppies is Yakut Mark Monarch. Yakut is a large size, well built male with stable temperament and enjoyable disposition. He is taking participation in confirmation shows and obedience classes. Well socialized, nicely mannered and carrying unique blood lines, he is a definite asset for our kennel. It is going to be his fourth litter.

The dam of this litter is Kalinka’s Katjusha iz Teremka, a granddaughter of our foundation stud dog Furry Taras Siberian Star. Katjusha was raised in a lovely family with 4 kids. She is involved in tons of activities outside the house; hiking, boating, going to the games with kids. Last winter, she even took part in the annual Santa Parade in Kingston. She is very playful and gentle girl.

Puppies are absolutely beautiful and their mom is just amazing! She did such great job with delivering this puppies, I still can't get over it! All 13 were done naturly in 6 and half hours. Katya is a very strong girl and I hope she is passing it to her daughters.

All puppies are good size with great heads, heavy bones, happy attitude and working temperament, as it was proved by previous litters out of Yakut.

Due to unexpected amount of girls, we still have females open for reservations.

Yesterday, May 11, 2009 our puppies were 12 days and we took some pictures of them. Puppies and mom doing just great. They eat, sleep and cuddle together. Puppies start to open their eyes and try to stand on their legs.

Our Red and only boy

At seven weeks we went for our first feild trip - to vet's office. It was a quite experience to load 13 puppies in the car, drive to the vet clinic and bring them all in! I had to ask my daughter to come with me and give me some hands. However, it was an event for office as well. Every single person, who worked that day stoped by to see our puppies, as non of them have seen such big litter before! Because, everyone was so exited to meet us, they even brought a camera and took some photos!

At first puppies were very happy and playful, as they got so much attantion! But because the appointment was almost for 2 and half hours, they slow down and got some napp.

Our Navy girl was so energetic for the most the time, so then she finally fell asleep, she slept so deeply, Dr.White couldn't wake her up to exam her eyes!

And then everything was done, Dr. White and her assistence Monica took some pictures with puppies.

Dr. White

Monica

To my big satisfaction, all my babies were healthy and sound. And as usually, I was complemened for their temperament. Every time I bring my litters in, Dr. White stresses what a beautiful temperament those puppies have!

After our first vaccination, it is time to go to new homes, and here we are again. The first puppy at this time was our Green girl, who went to Milton, ON

Kalinka's Zaxar Il'ich x Kalinka's Jizn' Prekrastna

It is a time for little up-date on our babies. Well, they are 3 weeks old now, opened their eyes, and stood on their feet.

Beside moms milk, puppies like to eat a ground meat, baby's serial, they love a Russian kefir ( somthing close to buttermilk), cottage chease and drink a lot of milk. in a couple days they will be introdused to pre-soaked puppy food.

Here are some pictures of puppies.

On puppies one month birthday, we took some new photos of our little ones

And now, it ia a time once again, for everyone to go to new home.

Our first puppy to go was a purple ribbon girl, named Taiga. She went to Toronto with her new mommy Janya and very good friend of family Nelia. Nelia has two of our puppies already Jessy and Shoko. Nelia is suporvising Taiga and helps to new mom take a very best care about this girl.

Here are some photos from new home.

Our another puppy, who went home is grey ribbon boy - Beau. His new home is in Boston, he got a wonderful family with 4 kids, so he will have tones of attention. check leter with us for pictures and reportage.

And here we are:

Our Beau in his new home.

With Jack, new owner.

And, of course, gramma came to visit our boy!

And we heard from Linda and Steve:

"Hi Lana,

Things are going well with Beau.  I took Bunny's advise and bought a hot

water bottle last night.  He is sleeping for about 2-3 hour intervals

right now.

Glad to hear you got home ok.  Hope to see you this summer.  We'll keep

in touch.

Linda

PS Bella is getting used to Beau.  She is very curious about him!

By the way, Beau is going to the back door to seem to ask to go out!

Isn't that funny!  We bring him right out when he does that and he does

go!"

"Hi Lana,

Would you believe Beau barks at the kitchen door when he needs to go out.

Bella has adjusted and tries to play. Beau barks at her. Very funny. I would expect after next week to see some fast growth.

Steve"

And our green girl leaving us next week as well.

7 weeks old

Hot!

And just before to go their new homes, this two had a very good time!

Next day after that fun, we traveled to Toronto and stay with our good friends Nelia and Vitaly and their family. The owner of puppies's sister Taiga came to visit with us and brought taiga along to say "Buy" to a little brother.

However, Lena got extrimly bored, and two girls decited to play a tagy war

And after that everyone got a good sleep, as they would leave next morning.

Well, Out little gray boy had a very long and exsiting flight to China! Yes, however his new mom and dad are Canedian,  they work oversea right now and our boy will spend some time with them in that exsotic country! We heard from them by now, and can say that flight was nice and smouth and baby feels well. here is a picture of him

We are looking forward to here more about this little hero from his mom Laurie soon.

And our last green girl named Lena, didn't go that far, she is residing in Niagara Falls, On. Her new rarents came to pick her up on the same morning.

On Thursday, August 07, 2008 our little girl Kalinka's Ocharovanie Nochi Iz Teremka landed in St.Jonh, NL airport.

Hi Lana,

Our puppy has arrived.  She is exactly what we thought she would be

and she is doing very well. She was a little nervous when she first

got off the plane but was playing around whithin 5 minutes.  She is

full of hugs and kisses and she is getting plenty from David and

 me.  Here are some pictures.

We have named her "Mishka" - a Russian name that means little bear.

 April and David

 THANK YOU!!

 Hi Lana,

We are delighted and completely in love with our little Mishka.

She is definitely the joy in our lives.  She is everything you said

she would be and we are very happy.  Meeting her father would be

wonderful and we would definitely be interested.

Mishka was in to see the veterinarian yesterday and she was very

healthy.  She couldn't get over how beautiful our little girl was.

She was given a full checkup and also the vaccination for

Bordetella (which is common here in Newfoundland). We have an

appointment made for two weeks for her next booster.  All is going

well.  David is so proud of her.  She is doing well with her Kennel

training and we can tell that she was handled very well before she

 arrived.

Thank you Lana. We will stay in touch and let you know her

progress.  (She has already gained 2.3 pounds).

 April and David

Our blue boy, Kalinka's Ostrui Sjuzhet Iz Teremka, nickname Baloo, landed in Bozeman, MT on Sept.19, 2008.

It took both of us Jim and me a couple weeks of hard work to put this trip together, to make sure it will be the easiest way for little Baloo. We drove to Syracuse airport to ship Baloo out of there, so Jim can pick him up in Bozeman. And finaly, Baloo is on plane on his way to new home. This was las e-mail from Jim, before he got a puppy:

Red and purple boys

Red boy

Time is going fast as usally, and puppies are growing fast as well. Puppies are turning 6 weeks old tomorrow. They are getting more and more active and playful, now we can see the personality coming out of them. Like for instance, the pinkgirl is very people oriented, very curious and very brave. She was a first one who has explored the room at once she stood on her feet. Now every morning then I come to feed them, before to goes to eat she will visit me first to say "Good morning!" and give me a kiss.

Pink girl

The white girl is a little bit larger and more bonier. She likes to wrestle with her brothers and tries to get on the sofa, when I am sitting there.

White girl

Four boys look very much a like. If there were not diffrent color ribbons on their necks, I would be in real trouble! However I can say that blue boy is more lay back, he is very calm and patient when I do his nails.

Blue boy

The green boy is very grumpy. He always letting you know that you just disturbed him from something important. When taken on your lap  he loves to be petted and to be held.

Green boy

Now the red baby. He is sweet and very balanced. He goes and plays with littermates and at once he is tired, he finds a quite spot and falls a sleep!

Red boy

And the last and I am afraid to say the favourite, purple boy. He is a little explorer as well. You can look up for him in the most remote corner. He and his pink sister are always up to something... but it is such pleasure just to hug him and kiss this chubby face!

Purple boy

And now a few photos with unidentified faces.

And I really would love to know, who is this one, chewing my table!

*****

Finally, the time came for little ones to go to their new homes.

Our blue boy, Franko, was a first one who left a nest.

Franko meets Trevor and Sarah

What is it here around?

Wow, are you my new owner?

Well, it is time for new life!

And we heard from Trevor already. Here what he is saying:

Hi Lana

Just wanted to tell you how happy I am with Franco. He has been so much fun to have around. He is growing like a weed took him to the Vet yesterday he is 25 pounds. I've never herd so many compliments from people before on how cute he is. He had his first puppy class last week,he was the model student he is learning so fast and the instructors use him for lots of the demonstrations, he is also getting lots of socialization with other dogs. I will send some pictures. Thanks agai n for everything Franco is an amazing Animal. Talk to you later.

*****

The next was a red boy, who went with his new daddy to Montreal and we will see him soon in up-coming dog shows.

*****

Our white girl Nikita is at her new home as well. She got a big property to run and exesise on, she is only baby there and she is deeply loved by her mom and dad. Actialy, they even canceled their vaccation trip to be able to take her home earlier.

Nikita in her new home

And the first comments about her from Diana:

Hi Lana,

She ,Nikita, is doing great, she is such a good puppy. She has such a great personality. She is so loveable.  She also learns really fast.  No problems at all. Thanks for the pictures they are so nice.

Thanks Diana

*****

Our purple boy is next out of the door. He is just waiting for new mom and dad to come to pick him up.

Please, don't stop!

I am small, but tough.

But I love kissy-kissy!

Two cutes.

What a chabby boy!

I am on the guard!

Well,  now I am going home.

And here we are: Alex, Allison and Hesh.

And here is the first e-mail from them:

Hi Lana,

We wanted to say thanks again for allowing us to bring this wonderful dog into our lives. He really is perfect for us.

Hesh behaved very well on the ride home and seems to have adjusted just fine. No problems with anything at all, he is the best behaved dog we have ever seen (and he has not even received any training yet!). He lets us know when he needs to go outside to take care of business and has slept very quietly at night.

He only had one little accident, and it was my fault for not acting fast enough when he told me he had to go; i made a loud noise and he stopped, we took him outside and he finished his pee in a more appropriate place :)

His stools are normal and he doesn't seem to be having any problems adjusting to the food or new water.

It's a joy to have him with us and everyone that has met him loves him immediately. While we kept the name "Hesh", we will still try to call him by his registered name also, so he does not forget it ;)

He learns really really fast, I think he may be smarter than we are! :)

We will send some pictures soon.

Thanks again and take care!

Alex and Allison

And both feel very comfortable with each other.

*****

Our last green boy out of litter, named Izzy by Dan and Shannon, was on hold for some period of time for very nice family. But due to personal reason, they had to releas the hold and now Izzy went to another great family in Toronto.

And already spent weekend camping with them:

Hello Lana,

I wanted to touch base and tell you how happy we are with Izzy, we

did slightly change his name from IZ, to Izzy ... Which he responds

 well to.

He is a great, well tempered, and really obedient dog, for only

being 5 months, and having never gone to school. School is next on

 the list.

We took him camping with us, and he likes the outdoors, as you

said. He took to water, with no difficulty. Lindsay my daughter and

Bella our 7 month Newfoundland all get along well. I think Bella is

the more dominant, but that is the way it is in my house with all

the females ... Now that I have another guy in the house, we should

be able to balance it out alittle more.

Izzy loves the car, we had a long drive back from camping and we

 had no accidents.

Here are some photos for you. Sorry he is so dirty ... That is part

 of camping.

Whenever you are in TO, please stop in a say hi.

 Talk to you soon,

 Rb
