Why do Black Russian Terrier Puppies Have Colored Ties?

We have received numerous inquires and questions as to Black Russian Terrier puppies wear colored ties around their necks.

 

Colored ties are placed around the puppies when they are delivered. It is a source of identification as to which puppy was born first, second, third and so on. 

The ties are colored and each puppy is given a different color. If there is a large litter and the specific colored ties have finished, then double ties of different colors are used.
